My name is Michael Broadhead and since 2005 I’ve have the privilege of teaching at international and private schools in the UK, Taiwan, China and Singapore. I am a BC registered teacher and have now settled in beautiful Victoria to tutor & teach science and Orton Gillingham. I enjoy working one on one with students of all ages and take care to provide personalized instruction that takes into account their background and goals. Tutoring or teaching for homeschooled children can occur in my home office near Empress Hotel, at the Greater Victoria Public Library, online, or at your home if it is close to where I live. I have taught the International Baccalaureate’s Middle Years Program (MYP) at private schools over over 10 years. I can also tutor junior high students in the BC curriculum.
IB or BC Chemistry
I have over 10 years experience teaching IB Chemistry at private schools and have been trained on the new curriculum with first exams starting spring 2025. I can also teach BC Chemistry 11 or 12.
Orton-Gillingham
A multi-sensory structured literacy program for struggling readers and writers. It is especially useful for dyslexic learners, but students do not need to be dyslexic. Taking waitlist for start in 2025.
